Australia's first carbon-neutral home loan: MyRate.com.au has been certified by Carbon Reduction Institute as “NoCO2” which means the lender has offset all carbon emissions

Monitoring of emissions by Carbon Reduction Institute is on-going.
WHERE
WHY
The lender has a lower footprint because it is on-line and has no brick-and-mortar expenses. Its emissions: 94 kilograms of CO2. The offset: streamlined business practices and purchase of carbon credits in solar energy projects.
The broker will not pass on offsetting costs.

"In order for MyRate.com.au to achieve NoCO2 certification, our processes were audited to calculate the full extent of our carbon impact," MyRate general manager Kevin Sherman said. "Emissions were calculated from energy usage, waste, employee transport, as well as the emissions embodied in the computers and phones we use."
