Geothermal In Nevada Shows Potential

Sierra Geothermal Power Corp.
WHAT
The Reese River geothermal project: Drilling to produce geothermal energy in the wide open spaces of the Nevada desert is being explored.

WHEN
Early temperature/pressure survey done in April, 2007. Further survey and permit studies are pending.
WHERE
Sierra Geothermal is based in Vancouver, B.C. Their geothermal project in on the Reese River in northcentral Nevada.

WHY
Early temperature and pressure survey data are promising. Estimates suggest the potential for a 30 megawatt power station (which would serve 24,000 homes).
The Reese River site is rated as one of the top 15 in Nevada.
