WHEN
The UN report states that CO2 prices must be stabilized at $20-$80/ton by 2030 to push back serious climate change.
WHERE
In YOUR government.
WHY
Vehicle emissions can be reduced by using energy-efficient and hybrid electric vehicles. Power generation emissions can be cut by using electricity from wind farms and solar installations. Buildings can be more efficient. Absorption of emissions will be greater if forests are not destroyed for timber and agriculture.
QUOTES
UN report: "Government support through financial contributions, tax credits, standard setting and market creation is important for effective technology development, innovation and employment. Transfer of technology to developing countries depends on enabling conditions and financing."
