Its probably more accurate to say that people WHO CAN AFFORD IT will pay for it. But that is preferable to having poor kids who live adjacent to freeways pay for it with their respiratory function.

WHAT
The survey found that the majority of consumers would pay more for clean energy.
WHEN
The survey resultswere released May 14.
WHERE
The survey was of national consumers.
WHY
- Consumers made their choice based on the assumption the “clean energy” would be good for the environment.
- 62% would willingly pay higher electric rates for clean coal
- 54% would pay more for alternative energy sources.
- 46% would support building a new nuclear power station within 20 miles of their communities; 48% would not.
