WHAT
GEFS will acquire 90% of the SGLGC landfill gas project, expanding its renewable resources.
WHEN
GEFS has been helping finance the project since 2002 with loans.

The Scholl Canyon Landfill Gas Corp. project is in Glendale, CA.
WHY
- The Scholl Canyon landfill gas project is one of the largest in the U.S. The landfill emits methane, GHG possibly 20 times more harmful to the ozone than carbon dioxide. Great greenhouse gas (GHG) summary
- The methane is pipelined to the 250 megawatt Grayson Power Plant where it reported supplies energy for 10,000 homes.
- This project is estimated to prevent 615,000 tons of GHGs.
- SCLGC, an affiliate of Palmer Capital Corp., will continue to operate the landfill project.
