Ghana to set up solar testing and training centers

WHAT
The Ghana government is setting up 2 testing and training centers, preparing to implement its solar energy Master Plan.
WHEN
Implementation of the projects is schedule for the 2007 to 2010 period.
WHERE
Project announcement in Accra, Ghana’s capital.
The training/testing centers will be at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the Tamale Polytechnic.

The government says the projects are expected to “substantially address” the country’s energy needs.
