GE Energy will sell 200 wind turbines to SkyPower Corp.

Canada is expected to become one of the top 5 wind energy developing nations by 2009.
WHERE
GE Energy is based in Atlanta, GA. SkyPower Corp is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The turbines will be used in various Canadian and US projects.

WHY
- The 200 GE turbines will cost SkyPower Corp. $400 million dollars. The 1.5 megawatt turbines will have a collective generating capacity of 300 megawatts of electricity.
- GE is the leading North American turbine manufacturer and has sold more than 6500 turbines.
- SkyPower is also active in the solar energy industry in Ontario.
