WHO
Suzlon Wind Energy Corp (subsidiary of Suzlon Energy Ltd), Horizon Wind (a unit of Energias de Portugal)

WHAT
Suzlon has contracted to supply Horizon with 400 megawatts of turbine power and then provides maintenance and service.
WHEN
The contract requires Suzlon to deliver 200 megawatts in 2008 and 200 more in 2009.
WHERE
Horizon is based in Houston. It is owned by Portuguese wind energy giant Energias de Portugal. Suzlon was founded in India and is now based in Amsterdam.
WHY
- The turbines contracted for are 2.1 megawatt machines.
- The turbines will be dispersed to a wind variety of Horizon projects.
- Suzlon will also be responsible for maintenance and service, requiring expansion of Suzlon’s operations.
