The Case For The Energy-Climate Bill

This video makes the case for the Kerry-Lieberman American Power Act and shows who endorses it. The inside word is that the fight over energy and climate legislation will happen in the Senate in July.

Two things are clear: (1) The Gulf oil spill is giving the energy and climate issue its immediacy and (2) any bill that passes will be seriously compromised. With respect to the first point, considering how urgently this country needs a comprehensive energy policy and action on greenhouse gas emissions, it is truly sad that it took an environmental catastrophe to move Congress to action.
