From this trailer, it looks like Deep Green; Solutions To Stop Global Warming Now could be a valuable and well-made movie. From DeepGreenTheMovie via YouTube

Cutting carbon emissions is only half the game and we are missing a key opportunity by focusing too narrowly. The earth is a whole, living system. Soil has the potential to hold more than 3x the carbon currently in the atmosphere. Through improved land management practices we can reduce atmospheric carbon by 40% quickly and simultaneously build soil, increase food production and quality (through organic ag and grass-fed beef production) and protect biodiversity. A broader perspective is needed, more at: https://thecarbonranch.wikispaces.com/

    Dear Ceal Smith
Thanks for your comments on Earth as a Gaia whole system and the need to restore land and sea. Our film "Deep Green" has one whole chapter with Michael Pollan on transitioning to local sun farming, building organic soil, cycling sun energy through animals, eating less meat. And the starting premise of the movie is how to save the forests (turn the temperature of the Earth Down, save the remaining forests and replant an area the size of The United States.)
Restoring the Earth and living as a part of Nature go hand in hand with lowering our carbon, chemical, water and waste footprints. It's all connected.
We went Deep and Wide. Right there with you.
    Best
