This is a beautifully done cautionary tale. It portrays what economists call the tragedy of the commons. Give it a few peaceful minutes and remember: It does not have to be like this. Those who attack the President for his willingness to deal, as described in the videos above, should remember that the goal of the compromise - as hard as it is to make - is to avoid this fate.
