SOLAR DAY
Major Growth for the Third Annual SolarDay - June 18 in the U.K., U.S., Canada and November 19 in Australia; The annual green day for solar, clean energy and protection of the planet
May 2011 (Solar Day 2011)
"The third annual SolarDay will be held… in the U.K., U.S. and Canada on Saturday, June 18…[It has grown] from one event for SolarDay 2009…[to SolarDay in 2010 with] events hosted by cities and the solar industry in 26 U.S. cities. Multiple cities issued proclamations declaring Official SolarDay's for their city events…California Congresswoman Doris Matsui recognized the importance of SolarDay and solar energy to America…in a letter from the U.S. House of Representatives [as did California Senator Dianne Feinstein in a letter from the U.S. Senate].
"…52 solar installation companies from New York to California…sponsored SolarDay 2010…[It was the largest public education and solar outreach program in U.S. history]…with events and public information about the many solar rebates and state rebate programs…Sponsors for SolarDay 2011 include solar companies, other companies, cities and non-profit organizations…"

"SolarDay, unlike Earth Day, stands on its own as an important and rapidly growing day of awareness focused on clean and renewable energy and protection of the planet for a million good reasons…We have 50 years of oil reserves, 200 years of coal reserves and at least 5 billion years of solar energy…Many Federal and State incentives exist to lower the cost for solar installations…"
