GE wins 16MW deal for Vietnam's Mekong Delta

"The developer of the first wind farm to be built in Vietnam’s agricultural heartland, the Mekong Delta, has chosen GE to supply ten of its 1.6MW 82.5 turbines.
"Phase one of the Bac Lieu wind farm will have a generating capacity of 16MW, but GE said a larger second phase could add a further 120MW."

"Project developer Cong Ly Company Ltd has also awarded GE a phase-one operations and maintenance contract.
"In 2009, GE opened a turbine-component manufacturing plant near the Vietnamese port city of Hai Phong, which began shipping product in May 2010…[GE has] supplied equipment for approximately 18% of Vietnam’s more than 2GW installed capacity."
