Ontario's pro-renewables Liberal party wins election
James Quilter, 7 October 2011 (Windpower Monthly)
"The Ontario Liberal Party, which has been behind the province's feed-in tariff legislation, has won a closely fought election campaign against the Progressive Conservatives.
"The victory, albeit one that sees the Liberals return to office without an overall majority, will be viewed with relief by the wind industry."

"…Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak had vowed to dismantle the province’s deal with Samsung to build factories and install wind farms…[and] Conservatives [might have ended] the province's Fit scheme.
"In the event the Liberals won 53 seats, a 17-seat loss. The Conservatives won 37 with the left wing New Democratic Party taking 17. The win give Liberal leader Dominic McGuinty a third term."
