“…[O]vercapacity is still valid according to a theoretical calculation of the production-demand-ratio…[but] high demands from Asia (especially Japan and China itself) as well as from North and South-America led to stabilizing and even slightly increasing prices in Europe, especially for crystalline modules from Asia…[and] because of the scaled down production facilities, new goods are brought to the market extremely slowly…”
“…Chinese suppliers seem to have agreed not to bend to further price reduction pressure from Europe. The resulting artificial shortage leads to a slight price increase of Tier1 and Tier2 suppliers…The pending anti-dumping tariffs, instituted by a new EU regulation, make Chinese manufacturers even more careful, especially because the tariff level is still unknown…
“It can be assumed that much less volume will be shipped to European warehouses in the near future because transports will just be commissioned if a binding order exists. The anti-dumping and anti-subsidy policy of the EU is supposed to help European manufacturers, but for many companies concerned this help will come too late…”
