German wind and solar produced as much 60% on 3 October

"Wind and solar produced as much as 60% of Germany’s electricity during…3 October…[A]round noon of that day, the two renewable technologies were producing 59.1% of the country’s power with conventional sources above 100MW in size producing just 23GW, according to the study by Bernard Chabot…Windy and sunny conditions contributed to the boost… 36.4% of the day’s total electricity produced came from solar and wind. The contribution was large enough to reduce the European electricity price index (ELIX) during the day with power at 1400 as cheap as it was at 0600.” click here for more
