    Advanced Biofuels Country Rankings; Index of the Advanced Biofuels Scale-Up Opportunity by Country Based on Liquid Fuels Demand, Feedstock Opportunity, Market Drivers, and Market Investment

    "…[A]dvanced biofuels…[are] fuels ranging from cellulosic ethanol to green diesel to drop-in aviation biofuels that are derived from a diverse range of non-food feedstocks, such as nonedible crops, waste, and algae… [They offer] long-term scalability…[and] eliminate many of the social and environmental externalities that have undermined first-generation ethanol and biodiesel…Currently home to an estimated 67% of global ventures in advanced biofuels, the United States leads all countries in the advanced biofuels country ranking…China, [at 3%, is] No. 2…just ahead of Germany (No. 3) and France (No. 4)…Brazil is ranked No. 5…Navigant Research forecasts that advanced biofuels scale-up is likely to be concentrated in [these] key markets…” click here for more
