“The Wind Production Tax Credit (PTC) is widely acknowledged as a critical part of American wind power’s development into a mainstream source of electricity and one of the biggest, fastest and cheapest ways to reduce carbon pollution while creating [more than 85,000 American] good-paying jobs and saving customers money…It saves more than 30 billion gallons of fresh water each year compared with other energy sources and, if growth remains steady, is on track to produce 20 percent of America’s electricity by 2030…
