“If someone asks you whether you ‘believe in climate change,’ you should be worried about where the conversation is going…Climate change is a matter of science, not belief…Having ‘faith’ in a set of ‘facts’ puts you on the wrong side of history, and in the company of tyrants and inquisitors…The evidence for climate change rests on an enormous body of scientific data and its interpretation. Science, in turn, rests on facts that are established in the field or laboratory by controlled experimentation and observation…Science has not had the last word on climate change, nor will it — there will always be more data…Today, science has something to say to all of us about how we are living our lives…Most of us have changed our light bulbs, use reusable shopping bags, and have organized our recycling buckets by now; it is time to go after the bigger problems of environmental injustice and corporate greed…This is done best when everyone recognizes their own stake in environmental stewardship…” click here for more
