No Pause In Climate Change
Climate change: Fresh doubt over global warming 'pause'
Matt McGrath, 5 January 2017 (BBC News)
“…[Scientists have underestimated ocean temperatures between 1998 and 2014 and revised data shows there has been no slowdown in global warming, according to Assessing recent warming using instrumentally homogeneous sea surface temperature records. An apparent pause in temperature rises was brought into question by the NOAA study Possible artifacts of data biases in the recent global surface warming hiatus, which] showed that the ocean buoys used to measure sea temperatures tend to report slightly cooler temperatures than the older ship-based systems…When [NOAA] researchers corrected the data to take this ‘cold bias’ into account, they concluded that the oceans had warmed 0.12C per decade since 2000, nearly twice as fast as previous estimates of 0.07 degrees…” click here for more
