Most Republicans in Washington refuse to publicly acknowledge a problem nearly all other political leaders on this planet realize is real: climate change caused by human activity…[They] fall into three categories…[A few true skeptics, who will probably never change their minds [but are the loudest and most influential in Washington's polarizing debate, genuinely] question the science and don't think anything could solve it…[The bulk of public deniers privately] acknowledge climate change is a problem, are concerned but skeptical of the alarmism surrounding it, [and] worried about political blowback [because they think climate change is not a high priority for most Americans, especially Republicans]…[Another 20 publicly] acknowledge the scientific consensus [and have joined a bipartisan caucus.
