    Can Hollywood Movies About Climate Change Make a Difference?

    “…[C]apturing the real global threat of climate change is far harder than filming any spaceship landing…[Mother! director Darren Aronofsky buried] his climate-change message in allegory...[because he believes it is] ‘not a very sexy subject’…[G]etting Hollywood movies about climate change made is not easy. And when they do refer to it…they rarely do much to galvanize the public to action. Even well-intentioned filmmakers with carefully drafted cautionary tales often miss the mark…[Author Per Espen Stoknes said there is no clear enemy or,] ‘if there is an enemy, it’s us.
