Here are Solar’s Next Gigawatt-Scale Markets

    November 29, 2017 (GTM Research)

“…[By the end of 2017, 8 countries are expected to have installed over 1 GW in the year and by the end of 2018, there will be 13 countries on the list, according to the Global Solar Demand Monitor from GTM Research. The next five countries to cross the 1 GW] threshold will be Brazil, Egypt, Mexico, the Netherlands and Spain…[A resurgence of European demand in 2018] will bring a much-needed 35 percent annual growth to a region that has fallen by more than triple its peak in 2011…Latin American solar demand is expected to more than double…[Egypt’s solar market is expected] to grow fivefold between 2017 and 2018, reaching 1.4 GW…[and the forecast is for] a cumulative 606 gigawatts to be installed globally between 2017 and 2022.” click here for more
