Here's the One Climate Change Deal the Trump Administration Might Back

“…[With one notable exception, the White House has targeted] Obama-era policies on climate change…[It has not thrown out the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, a 2016 agreement to phase out hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs)] found in air conditioners that is a factor in climate change, in part because American companies think it could be a huge business opportunity for them…[T]he deal enjoys support from an unusual alliance of manufacturers, conservative groups and environmentalists…[Because HFCs trap much more heat than other greenhouse gas emissions, scientists] say adopting the Kigali amendment could prevent 0.9° Fahrenheit rise in temperature by 2100.
