    More Americans say they'll buy an electric car

    “One in five Americans say they are likely to buy an electric car for their next new vehicle, according to a survey from AAA. That's up from 15% who said they were likely to buy an electric car last year…If one in five Americans followed through and really did buy an electric car, that would represent an enormous jump in sales. Currently, electric vehicles make up just 0.72% of the market, according to data from Navigant Research…[T]he survey indicates that more consumers are at least seriously considering an electric vehicle…[About 80% of the people who said they would buy an electric car said it is because of] concern for the environment…67% of people cited lower operating costs…Potential EV buyers said reliability is their number one concern when it comes to deciding which electric car they might buy…” click here for more
