Sigmar Gabriel, German environment minister: “Prosperity for everyone is possible and it is compatible with the environment…"
He didn’t say it would be easy.

WHAT

WHY

- One of the important topics at the conference will be how to best rectify the disportionate impact climate change is likely to impose on poor nations.

QUOTES
Gabriel: "We must put economic growth on a different energy basis, by using renewable energy such as sun and water…And we must use energy far more efficiently than before…Germany has a pioneering role…We have not only set ourselves the most ambitious target for climate protection, we are also the only country that will arrive at the conference with a concrete climate protection package, proving that we are taking this target seriously."

Energy diversification can help people around the world. Many "litle"
people can save money making their own energy. Making equipment. Installing and servicing equipment. Harvesting and processing biomass. Retailing fuels. Transporting fuels.
The oil producing countries can produce solar and wind energy along with petroleum and natural gas. Prices will be lowered and moderated due to many competitors and sources. Distributed energy will insure supply to areas hit by catastrophes.
